SATURDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Saturday's games
Corey Minnifield led the Mad Ants to an overtime victory with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while teammate Earl Calloway finished with a game-high 26 points.
Iowa's Demetris Nichols, on assignment from the Chicago Bulls, finished with a team-high 23 points in the Energy's loss.
Sean Banks led all scorers with 27 points, while Coby Karl, on assignment from the Lakers, finished with a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double and Devin Green also recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
Carl Elliott scored a team-high 25 points for Sioux Falls, as teammate Jason Klotz finished with an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double and David Bailey chipped in with 12 assists in the loss.
En route to a Wizards win, Carlos Powell, Rod Benson, Dontell Jefferson and Maurice Baker each notched double-doubles with 35 points and 10 assists, 11 points and 10 rebounds, 19 points and 10 assists, and 23 points and 12 rebounds, respectively for Dakota.
Three Vipers delivered double-double performances in Rio Grande Valley's loss, including CJ Watson (32 points, 15 assists), Gabe Muoneke (26 points, 10 rebounds), and Jesse Smith (14 points, 11 rebounds).
Following his 51-point performance on Friday, Utah's Morris Almond scored a game-high 36 points in the overtime win as teammate Kevin Kruger finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Scooter McFadgon led Bakersfield with 31 points in the overtime loss.
D-LEAGUE ON CHRISTMAS DAY: 13 players with D-League experience highlight the rosters of NBA teams playing on Christmas day this season, including Miami's Smush Parker, Cleveland's Devin Brown, Phoenix's Alando Tucker, L.A. Lakers' Jordan Farmar, Seattle's Mouhamed Sene and Portland's recently re-called Taurean Green. In D-League action, Fort Wayne visits Sioux Falls and Iowa hosts Dakota on Christmas day.
