PRODUCTIVE TIME: Dakota forward Rod Benson made the most efficient use of his playing time of any player around the league on Wednesday. The 6-10 Cal product scored 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds in just 24 minutes off the Wizards bench.
LUKE TO BLAZERS: The Portland Trail Blazers have signed Fort Worth center Luke Schenscher to a 10-day contract. Thirteen (13) different D-League players have earned a total of 16 GATORADE Call-Ups this season.
HOW MANY IS THAT IN ALL? There have now been 84 total callups spread among 60 players since the D-League began play in 2001-02.
DIVISION BRAGGIN' RIGHTS: Idaho and Colorado hold the top two spots, respectively, in the D-League Power Rankings this week. The Stampede and 14ers are also 1-2 in the Western Division standings. Sioux Falls jumped from fifth to third this week, past Dakota which is a half-game ahead of the Skyforce for the top spot in the Eastern Division. COACH 'EM UP: Former Idaho Stampede head coach Larry Krystkowiak's was named the head coach for the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Krystkowiak coached the Stampede one season, guiding Idaho to a 37-16 record in 2003-04. Current Stampede coach Bryan Gates was an assistant to Krystkowiak that season.
