LOVIN' THE D: While on assignment from the Dallas Mavericks, Fort Worth guard Jose Barea has found the D-League to his liking. Over his last three games Barea is averaging 36.3 points and 6.7 assists. In seven games for the Flyers, Northeastern product is averaging 27.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists.
WHO ELSE IS HOT? Tulsa's Alan Anderson is averaging 27.0 points over this last two games and Idaho's Ronnell Taylor 23.0 over his last three. Sioux Falls post man Jared Reiner has collected 35 rebounds in the last two games and Loren Woods of Austin 33 over his last two.

MORE HELP THAN EVER: In its first five seasons, the D-League has yet to have a player average double digit assists for the season. Tulsa's Will Conroy and Randy Livingston of Idaho are currently credited with 10.3 and 10.0 assists per game, respectively.
WHO WILL COACH THE STARS? Either Fort Worth's Sidney Moncrief or Dakota's Dave Joerger for the Eastern Division and Idaho's Bryan Gates or Colorado's Joe Wolf in the West. Wednesday's games will decide. League rules state that the coach with the best winning percentage in each division as of Feb. 1 earns the nod. Fort Worth is ahead by one-half game in the East over the Wizards. Both play on Wednesday. Idaho and Colorado are both 17-8 in the West, but Joe Wolf's 14ers do not play again prior to Feb.1. The Stampede is host to Austin on Wednesday.
D-LEAGUE STARS: Balloting for the D-League All-Star Game continues through Feb. 1 at D-LEAGUE.com. The inaugural D-League All-Star Game will be played Feb. 17 on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m. PT and the game will air live on NBA TV.
