9TH PICK ASSIGNED: The Golden State Warriors have assigned C Patrick O'Bryant, the 9th selection in the 2006 NBA Draft, to the Bakersfield Jam. O'Bryant is the ninth player and 10th overall assignment this season. He is expected to be in uniform when the Jam is host to Austin on Thursday.
BELL TOLLS FOR TOROS: Guard Troy Bell, the 16th overall selection in the 2003 NBA Draft, was picked up by the Austin Toros on Saturday. He will join the team in time for Thursday's game at Bakersfield.
J WILL TO REHAB: Austin waived guard Jay Williams, the second pick in the 2002 NBA Draft, while he rehabilitates a nagging injury. There is no injured list in the D-League, but the Toros will have first rights to Williams when he is healthy again.
