SERIES NOTES, TODAY'S GAMES - Roanoke at Fayetteville: Dazzle leads 2-0. Rematch of Friday game when nine technical fouls were called. - Arkansas at Tulsa: 66ers lead 3-0 after overtime victory over RimRockers on Friday. Tulsa 6-2 at home.
FIRST TRIPLE: Tulsa guard Will Conroy recorded the first triple-double of the D-League season in an overtime victory over Arkansas on Friday. Conroy had 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
GREEN TO PATRIOTS: The Boston Celtics assigned forward Gerald Green to the Fayetteville Patriots on Friday, making him the 14th NBA player to be designated to the D-league. Green, the 18th overall selection in the 2005 NBA Draft, is the highest draft pick to be assigned to the D-League.
THEY SAID IT: "The theory sounds great where you're practicing with the NBA team, but anybody that's been around NBA teams knows that there's not a lot of intense practice sessions when it gets this time of year. This is a better alternative."...Celtics Executive Director of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge to the Boston Globe in regard to assigning Gerald Green to the Fayetteville Patriots of the D-League.
FIRST TASTE: C.J. Miles, who was assigned to the Albuquerque Thunderbirds by the Utah Jazz earlier this week, got his first taste of the D-League in a huge T-Birds victory at Fort Worth. From nearby Skyline High School in Dallas, Miles scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds in 19 minutes.

MLK SHOWCASE: The 2006 MLK Showcase, featuring every D-League team in eight games over two days, is scheduled for January 15-16 at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C.
