D.C. United to Host Fifth Annual Latin American Festival

Washington, D.C. (September 25, 2010) - D.C. United announced plans to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting the fifth annual Latin American Festival presented by TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank ©, before the Black-and-Red's game against San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. at RFK Stadium. The pre-game fiesta will commence at 4:00 p.m. in Lot 8 of RFK and will remain open until kickoff.

"D.C. United is proud of the deep and rich history of support developed within the local Hispanic community," said United President and CEO Kevin Payne. "As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we are honored to pay tribute to these faithful fans and the Hispanic culture they represent."

The event will give fans a great opportunity to celebrate the culture, music, cuisine and sport of Latin America. The festival is open to the public and will feature a dance show from La Diablada Boliviana, and live music from Andy Andy and La Máquina de El Salvador.

TD Bank will be activating on-site at United's Latin American Festival with their Financial Literacy tent to educate the next generation of Americans every day about savings, so they're financially savvy for years to come.
