D.C. United Academy Honored in Ussda End of Year Awards

Washington, D.C. (July 17, 2012) - D.C. United announced today that three of the club's Academy players have earned U.S. Soccer Development Academy End of Year Awards. U-18 midfielder Collin Martin (Chevy Chase, Md.), defender Patrick Foss (South Ridign, Va.), and U-16 defender Suliaman Dainkeh (Reston, Va.) were named to the East Conference Starting XI in their respective age groups.

Below are the USSDA U-18 and U-16 East Conference Starting XI lineups.

East Conference U-18 Starting XI

Goalkeeper: Alex Bono, Empire United

Defender: Dakota Edwards, Albertson SC

Defender: Malcolm Harris, Baltimore Bays Chelsea

Defender: Quincy Thomas, PA Classics

Defender: Patrick Foss, D.C. United

Midfielder: Collin Martin, D.C. United

Midfielder: Dominik Machado, New England Revolution

Midfielder: Mael Corboz, New York Red Bulls

Forward: Stefanos Stamoulacatos, Empire United

Forward: Brandon Allen, New York Red Bulls

Forward: Christiano Francois, Players Development Academy

East Conference U-15/16:

Goalkeeper: Zack Steffen, FC DELCO

Defender: Dylan Greenberg, Albertson SC

Defender: Suliaman Dainkeh, D.C. United

Defender: Christian Sady, New England Revolution

Midfielder: Jacori Hayes, Baltimore Bays Chelsea

In other Academy news, U-16 forward Michael Seaton was recently called-up to Jamaica's U-17 National Team, with whom he scored a goal and an assist in a 5-0 victory against Bermuda. Seaton has already joined his D.C. United teammates in Houston, Texas for the USSDA National Championship, where United's U-16's will kickoff their championship run today at 9 p.m. ET against the Crew Soccer Academy Wolves.
