Cutters Win Big in Game Two

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Crosscutters defeated the Mahoning valley Scrappers in game two to
take the series win. The Cutters clicked on all cylinders scoring 11 runs on 11 hits with multiple pitchers
having strong outings on the mound.
The Cutters scored four runs in the top of the third and three runs in the top of the fifth to get out to a six-run
lead after five innings. Centerfielder Logan Flood was 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored.
Williamsport pitching was solid with seven pitchers giving up three runs on five hits and combining for nine
strikeouts. Starting pitcher Easton Sikorski gave up one run on one hit with three strikeouts. Creed Watkins,
J.J. Sanchez and Brandon Laux each tossed a scoreless inning in relief.
Left fielder Matthew Etzel was 2-for-5 in the leadoff spot with four RBI and a run scored. Catcher Jax Cash,
right fielder Cole Evans and third baseman Travis Holt each picked up a hit and an RBI in the ballgame.
