Logsdon, Williams Homer In Cutter Win
Game Highlights - Lance Logsdon and Edarian Williams each homer, as the Cutters plate a season-high 13 runs in their series opening win over the Scrappers.
1B Lance Logsdon connected on a two-run home run to left in the 4th inning, traveling 376', his first of the season. Logsdon added a RBI double in the 6th, finishing the night 2-for 2 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored.
2B Edarian Williams belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the 7th inning, traveling 368', his first of the season. Williams had doubled home a pair in the 2nd inning, finishing the night 2-for-4 with 5 RBI and a run scored.
RF Cole Evans singled home a pair just before Williams three-run shot in the 7th. Evans finished the night 1-for-4 with 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.
Logsdon, Evans and Williams were the 7, 8 and 9 batters in the Cutters line up, combining to go 5-for-10 with 2 home runs, 2 doubles, 10 RBI and 6 runs scored.
Releiver Creed Watkins earned the win, his 2nd, as he tossed a pair of scoreless frames in the 6th and 7th inning. Watkins was followed by Andrew Walling and Lex Garcia, each throwing scoreless frames to help close out the win.
The Cutters are now 6-1 against the Scrappers, outscoring Mahoning Valley 61-29 in the seven games.
