Joliet - It is time for all Chicago Cubs fans to order tickets for the 2008 Chicago Cubs Caravan. This year the Cubs Caravan is co-hosted by the Miracle League of Joliet, a non profit organization dedicated to helping handicapped children play baseball on a specialized synthetic field. Also, co-hosting the event will be the Joliet Noon Lions, a group dedicated to providing services to visually and hearing impaired individuals who would normally not be able to afford them.
The Cubs Caravan is sponsored by First Community Bank. The event is slated to begin at 4pm on Wednesday, January 16th, 2008. The caravan will set up shop at the Holiday Inn South located at 411 South Larkin Ave in Joliet Illinois. Proceeds from the event will be shared between the Miracle League and Joliet Noon Lions Club to benefit their respective charities.
Prices for the Caravan range from $45 for individual tickets to $450 for a table of ten. Special sponsorship opportunities are available with added amenities from $1,500 Grand Slam Sponsorship all the way down to a $100 Program Sponsorship. Other sponsorships include a $1,000 Player Sponsorship, $600 Home Run Sponsorship, and a $450 Table Sponsorship. Traditionally this is a sold out event and tickets are limited. Order tickets right away as seats are on a first paid, first served basis.
The Cubs Caravan offers fans the chance to meet and greet the fine baseball players from the Chicago Cubs. Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs from some of the Central Division Champion Chicago Cubs players and staff. A delicious meal will be served along with great door prizes, raffles, silent and live auction of sports memorabilia. New for 2008 is the fact that fans can purchase tickets, sponsorships and auction items with a credit card. This event is a once in a life time opportunity.
