New Orleans VooDoo News Release

(New Orleans, La.) The New Orleans VooDoo and Cox Sports Television announced a three-year television agreement today, through which the regional sports network will broadcast a minimum of six VooDoo games in 2004, and a minimum of eight VooDoo games in 2005 and 2006.

As part of this wide-ranging agreement, Cox Sports Television will serve as the primary non-national television outlet for VooDoo games over the next three seasons. The Arena Football League has a contract with NBC to televise its national games, and WDSU in New Orleans will televise all national games involving the VooDoo.

Other highlights of the agreement between the VooDoo and Cox Sports Television include:

- A 30-minute pre-game show to precede each VooDoo game broadcast

- A 30-minute coach's show to air each week, beginning in January and running through the season

- Top games to be re-broadcast during the offseason as part of a "Classic VooDoo Encore Series"

- Guest VooDoo appearances during selected broadcasts of New Orleans Hornets games

The VooDoo, owned and operated by New Orleans Saints Owner Tom Benson, begin play in the AFL's Southern Division in February. A full television schedule will be announced in the near future, and on-air talent for all VooDoo broadcasts will be determined at a later date.

"We are pleased to announce this new, three-year partnership with Cox Sports Television," said Saints Executive Vice President of Administration Arnold D. Fielkow. "The New Orleans Saints organization already has a great relationship with Cox Sports Television, and we are eager to expand our partnership when the VooDoo kicks off its season in 2004."

"We are excited to add the New Orleans Voodoo to our extensive, year round coverage of Gulf Coast Sports" stated Cox Sports Television head Rod Mickler. "We value our partnership with the Saints and know the fast paced excitement of Arena Football will be a welcomed addition to CST viewers".

Cox Sports Television serves as the exclusive regional sports network of the New Orleans Saints, and carries several Saints programs throughout the year. "Outside the Huddle" - the official off-the- field television show of the Saints - airs each Thursday at 8 p.m. during the Saints season, as well as monthly during the offseason, and Cox Sports Television also runs special broadcasts for the Saints' annual Black and Gold Scrimmage, and the Saintsations Calendar Special.
