Crystal Palace UK to Face Baltimore Affliliate Monday Night

July 12th 2009 - Baltimore MD - Crystal Palace Baltimore face their sister club, Crystal Palace UK, at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf, Maryland, on Monday evening July 13 with a kick-off time of 8:00 p.m. Free, live play-by-play audio commentary will be available at the following URL starting shortly before kick-off: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/crystal-palace-baltimore-vs-crystal-palace-uk-8-00-pm-july-13-2009.

The UK club arrived in Baltimore yesterday and went through a light training session this morning. The two teams have played each other twice before, first in 2006 when the London team ran out 3-1 winners in Annapolis, Maryland and in 2007 in a much closer contest in which the American side put in a much stronger performance, but eventually fell 1-0 at Selhurst Park in London.

Tickets for Monday's game will be available at the gate and will be general admission, with adult tickets priced at $14 apiece and $12 for youth (12 and under), seniors and military. Kids four and under are admitted free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the match will be followed immediately by a fireworks display. Monday's contest is the first of two for Crystal Palace UK on their American pre-season tour. On Thursday, July 16, the British club takes on the Harrisburg City Islanders at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
