
Crush to hold fifth annual open player tryouts January 20th

DENVER - For the fifth consecutive year, the Colorado Crush will give football players a chance to earn a spot on their training camp roster when they hold open tryouts on Saturday, January 20th at the South Suburban Family Sports Dome.
Crush head coach Mike Dailey and his staff will be scouting the tryouts in search of the next defensive back, fullback, lineman, linebacker, quarterback and wide receiver, who can help the Crush in their quest to capture another AFL championship. (* Please note that this tryout is not for kickers.)
"The open tryout is a good way for a player to showcase their talents to us," said Dailey. "Anyone who feels they have the tools to play professional football is encouraged to come and show us what they are all about."

FEE: A $75 registration fee is payable in cash or by check the day of the event. Interested participates can pre-register on www.coloradocrush.com with a discounted registration fee of $65, payable by check or credit card.
** THE CRUSH PLAYER TRYOUTS WILL BE OPEN TO THE MEDIA **
All attending players must be at least 18 years of age and should come dressed in workout attire with shoes appropriate for an indoor turf field. Each attendee will be put through a series of tests to measure speed, strength and agility. This workout will consist of running a 40-yard dash, and then performing a 20-yard shuttle drill, a standing long jump, a bench press with reps of 225 lbs., and position drills. These tests will be followed by a series of offensive and defensive drills. Participates are encouraged to bring their own water and if athletes need taped they will be required to do so on their own.
The Colorado Crush kickoff their fifth season in the Arena Football League when they host the Grand Rapids Rampage on Sunday, March 4th at 1:00 p.m. MT at Pepsi Center. Over the last three years, the Crush have captured more wins than any other team in the AFL and will look to defend their back-to-back Central Division titles in 2007.
