DENVER - The 2005 ArenaBowl Champion Colorado Crush announced today that JASON GILHAM has been named the team's new Director of Communications. Gilham will serve as the club's liaison between the national and local media and Crush players, coaching staff and administration.
Gilham enters his fifth year in the Arena Football League having spent the previous four seasons in the same capacity with the Georgia Force. During that time, he oversaw all public relations and communication efforts from the team's inaugural season in 2002 to its National Conference championship last season.
Prior to his work with the Force, Gilham was a public relations assistant with the Atlanta Falcons in 2001 after serving as the department's intern for the 2000 season. He came to Atlanta from the Cleveland Browns, where he was the team's publicity/media relations intern during their expansion season of 1999. Gilham began his career in professional sports with the Cleveland Cavaliers as a public relations intern during the 1997-98 campaign. He earned his degree in business/organizational communications and minor in sociology from Otterbein College located in Westerville, Ohio.
