Colorado Crush News Release
CHICAGO -- The Colorado Crush will look to continue their winning ways when they travel to Chicago to tackle the Rush on Sunday, February 22 at 1 p.m. MT on NBC. The game is the Arena Football League's "Must See Match-up of the Week" and will be the featured game in more than 50 percent of the nation's households.
A win would give the Crush a 3-0 start and sole possession of first place in the Central Division. Chicago is currently tied with the Crush atop the division with a 2-0 record.
Colorado is led by QB JOHN DUTTON (6-5, 210, Nevada), who was named ArenaBowl XVI MVP with San Jose in 2002, and is in his second season with the Crush. Dutton has a full arsenal of weapons, including OS DAMIAN HARRELL (6-3, 200, Florida State) and Week 2 U.S. Army Ironman of the Week WR/DB KEVIN MC KENZIE (5-11, 193, Washington State), who have combined for 23 receptions for 340 yards and five TDs, at his disposal.
The game also features an intriguing coaching match up. Colorado head coach MIKE DAILEY will face best friend and former assistant in Chicago head coach MIKE HOHENSEE. The two men coached together during seven AFL seasons, Dailey was best man in Hohensee's wedding and is the godfather of two of his children.
This will be the first of four appearances on NBC for the Crush this season. The AFL on NBC season-to-date two-game average rating stands at a 1.9 national rating/4 share, which represents a 19 percent increase from the inaugural season's two-game average of a 1.6/4, according to Nielsen Media research.
The Crush returns home next week to host the expansion Austin Wranglers on Friday, February 27 at 7 p.m. MT. Tickets start at just $7 and can be purchased by calling (303) 830-TIXS or logging on to ticketmaster.com.
