Indiana Blast News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, IN-The Indiana Blast have officially launched their Crusade for Health Program. Over the past week, several players from the Indiana Blast have visited schools across Central Indiana to share the word about making healthy lifestyle decisions.

As part of the Blast Education Program, the Crusade for Health school assembly program speaks to students on good nutrition, and how to say "NO" to drugs, tobacco and alcohol. A strong emphasis is also placed on the importance of teamwork and other character-building skills.

Blast midfielder James Prosser is heading up the program on behalf of MorSports, Inc. and the Indiana Blast. Prosser is in his third season with the Blast and graduated from Butler University with a Bachelors Degree in Education.

"The program is very valuable," said Prosser. "These kids are often captivated by the professional athlete which in turn gives us the ability to encourage positive lifestyle decisions."

The Crusade for Health program will be making several appearances across Central Indiana in the coming weeks:

-April 15th, Westlake Elementary School, Wayne Township
-April 16th, Garden City Elementary, Wayne Township
-April 29th, Delaware Trail Elementary, Brownsburg Township
-April 30th, Eastridge Elementary, Warren Township

The program is available to schools and organizations free of charge thanks to corporate and individual donations made through the Indiana Blast Soccer Foundation.
