Crunch Sign Adam Perry and John Mitchell

Syracuse, NY (July 22, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today the signings of left wings Adam Perry and John Mitchell each to a one-year American Hockey League contract. As per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Perry, 23, appeared in 67 games with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies last season, finishing fifth in the league in scoring with 78 points (30g, 48a) and 62 penalty minutes. Perry skated in 11 AHL games with San Antonio during the 2008-09 campaign, notching three points (1g, 2a) and 19 penalty minutes. In addition, he appeared in 45 contests with the Central Hockey League's (CHL) Arizona Sundogs in 2008-09, recording 56 points (23g, 33a) en route to being named to the CHL All-Rookie Team.

Prior to turning pro, Perry spent parts of four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2004-08 with London and Belleville, registering 245 points (107g, 138a) in 222 games. A native of Peterborough, Ontario, Perry contributed two points (1g, 1a) in eight playoff games during London's 2004-05 playoff run, helping the Knights capture the Memorial Cup alongside his brother and current Ducks right wing, Corey Perry.

Mitchell, 24, appeared in 41 games for the University of Wisconsin (WCHA) last season, collecting 19 points (8g, 11a) and 54 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-5, 224-pound Mitchell spent four years with the Badgers from 2006-10, racking up 61 points (32g, 29a) in 139 contests.

Prior to his collegiate career, the native of Neenah, Wisconsin, skated in 74 combined United States Hockey League (USHL) contests with Tri-City, Green Bay and Indiana from 2004-06, recording 17 points (9g, 8a).
