
Crunch Release Goaltender John Murray

Syracuse, NY (February 17, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that goaltender John Murray has been released from his professional tryout contract.
Murray, 21, appeared in one game for the Crunch, stopping 11 of 13 shots on February 11 at Toronto. He has also skated in 24 games for Ontario (ECHL) this year, going 13-8-3 with a 2.81 goals against average and .917 save percentage.
A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Murray was signed by the Crunch to a PTO on February 6.
The Crunch's next game is Wednesday, February 18 as they travel to Toronto to take on the Marlies. The Crunch return home on Friday, February 20 as they take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m.
