Rock River Raptors News Release

Rockford, IL - The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football league (UIF) is pleased to announce that Tom Crow will be taking the reigns as the new General Manager of the football organization effective immediately. Crow has years of indoor football experience in front office positions and will be a perfect fit for the Raptor organization.

Tom has spent the last several years as a resident of Sioux Falls, SD and worked with the United Bowl I champions, the Sioux Falls Storm, as the team operations and game-day manager for three seasons (03-05). In the beginning of 2006, he was named the Director of Operations for the United Indoor Football front office.

His football mentality and passion for the indoor game will be a key asset to the success of the Rock River team over the next few years.

"We are all very proud of Tom and his move to Rockford. He will be a great fit for the Raptors organization and continue to be a valuable asset to the UIF," stated UIF Executive Director, Dakota Crow. "Tom's leadership and experience should help with continued growth and success of the Raptors for years to come."

Tom is native of Rapid City, SD and attended Southwest State University in Marshall, MN to further his football career. He has a degree in Information Technology from Colorado Technical University and has an additional five years of experience in project management and information technology.

Crow's absence from the league office in the last month of play will not be detrimental to the UIF day-to-day operations. The league office has several great resources and a tremendous crew to finish out the 2006 season. A new league Director of Operation will be announced soon after the Championship game on July 29th.

The Raptors (11-4) won the Central Division this season and took the number three seed in the 2006 playoffs. They will now host a first round game on July 15, at 7:30 pm CST at the MetroCentre against the #6 Sioux City Bandits (6-9).
