
Crosscutters Double-Up on Trenton

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Cutters evened the series against Trenton with a 6-3 win Saturday night. Williamsport exploded in the third inning, scoring all its six runs in the frame while pitching proved to be strong yet again.
After Trenton scored a run in the bottom of the second, the Cutters quickly loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the third. Right fielder Connor Denning hit a two-run single followed by an RBI single by designated hitter E.J. Taylor. Third baseman Daniel Harris IV added two more with a double and later scored on a wild pitch to make it 6-1.
Williamsport starting pitcher Jarrett Whorff earned his second win, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out six batters. Trenton's three runs came on a solo homerun and a two-run homerun.
Jesse Bolt pitched two innings in the eighth and ninth only surrendering a walk. Christian Lopez pitched a scoreless inning in the ninth to earn the save.
