Halifax Rainmen News Release
(Halifax, N.S.) Eric Crookshank leaves for Barre Vermont today to participate in the ABA All-Star game. Yesterday, owner Andre Levingston announced that the Halifax Rainmen was removing itself from the American Basketball Association. Despite the departure from the league, Levingston encouraged Crookshank to attend the All-Star match-up and subsequently was welcome by the league.
"I am happy Crookshank is going to the All-Star game, he deserves it. He is an All-Star in every sense of the word and he will surely put on a show for fans in Vermont", said Levingston.
The 6'8" forward from Oakland California is thrilled to be a part of the All-Star line-up. "I have family coming to watch me play and friends who are also participating so I am anxious to dunk a few", said Crookshank.
The All-Star game takes place Saturday March 22 at 2pm Atlantic time. Halifax Rainmen fans can watch the game online at www.vermontfrostheaves.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
