Crew Kicks off Four-Game Homestand Saturday

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Monday, June 23) - The Columbus Crew returns home this weekend to kick off a four-game home-stand when it takes on heated rival D.C. United on Saturday, June 28, at 7:30 p.m. (ET) at Crew Stadium.

It is the second of four meetings between the two teams this season, and the first of two at Crew Stadium. United downed The Crew 3-0 on June 14 at RFK Stadium.

The English radio broadcast can be heard on The New Eagle, 103.9, or on-line at www.thecrew.com and www.matchnight.com. The Spanish radio broadcast can be heard on 1580 WVKO.

Columbus (4-5-3, 15 pts) is coming off of a 2-1 setback at San Jose last Saturday and sits in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, just three points ahead of D.C. United. United (2-3-6, 12 pts) is coming off of a 1-1 tie at home against New England.

The Crew will see the return of all four of its players who were competing in the FIFA Confederations Cup. Neither the U.S. (Jeff Cunningham, Frankie Hejduk and Kyle Martino) nor New Zealand (Duncan Oughton) advanced to semifinals. The players will return midweek.

After D.C., The Crew will remain at home at Crew Stadium for three consecutive games on July 5 (7:30 p.m. vs. Dallas), July 19 (7:30 p.m. vs. Kansas City) and July 23 (7:30 p.m. vs. New England).
