
Coyotes to appear at local holiday toy drive

FRESNO â The Central Valley Coyotes of the arenafootball2 league will make an appearance at the Salvation Army annual holiday toy drive on Thursday, December 23 at the Fresno Fairgrounds.
The toy drive, which will benefit less fortunate children, begins at 11:30 a.m. Players and staff will assist in handing out donated gifts to kids including Coyote merchandise.
"It's important to take time aside from normal business and give back to the community that supports us," said Coyote General Manager, Anthony Martinez. "As an organization we are dedicated to enriching the lives of the youth and families of the Central Valley through various community outreach efforts."
The Coyotes will kick off their 2005 af2 season on the road in Bakersfield on April 2. Their first home game will be on April 23 at 7:30 p.m. against the Arkansas Twisters. Fifty dollar deposits for 2005 Coyote season tickets, which include eight games played at Selland Arena, are now being accepted at 559-263-9780.
