Central Valley Coyotes News Release

(Fresno, CA) - Central Valley Coyotes suffered their first loss of the 2006 season on Saturday against the Bakersfield Blitz 28-38. Though it was a record setting night for LaMonte Jones, who set the Coyotes career receiving record with 8 catches for a career total of 142, the previous record was 137, it was a disappointing loss.

Jones who also received the "Schutt Offensive Player of the Game", set the record early in the 3rd quarter in a drive that ended in Scott Rislov throwing his second interception of the game. Rislov had not thrown any interceptions in the previous 2 games; he ended up with 3. Rislov had 24 completions on 38 attempts for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Coyotes have a bye week next week, than travel to Everett, Washington to play the Everett Hawks on Sunday April 30. Kick off for Sunday's game will be at 2:00pm PST and can be heard on ESPN Radio 1430, listen to all of the play by play action brought to you Guy Haberman and Bryan Whitmore.
