Tonight is the sixth and final meeting of the regular season between the Kalamazoo Wings and Quad City Mallards. With a record of 3-1-1, Kalamazoo leads the season series against Quad City. This season, Kalamazoo is 2-0-1 against Quad City at The MARK.

A 4-2 victory on Wednesday versus Elmira gives Kalamazoo a season high six-game winning streak. The

K-Wings will commence a four-game road swing tonight against the Mallards. Kalamazoo has won three straight games road game, one shy of tying their season high.

This evening is the second to last home game for the Mallards, who will conclude their home schedule Sunday versus Muskegon. The Mallards have already clinched a playoff spot, but would like to enter the playoffs on the high note. Currently, Quad City is on a two-game losing streak.

Forward Kory Karlander has recorded points in five straight games. Besides the five-game point streak, Karlander is also one-goal shy of tying the K-Wings' all-time UHL franchise record for goals in a season of 43 set by Jim Duhart (1999-00).

On the Road Again

The K-Wings begin a four-game road trip tonight in Quad City. Kalamazoo, who is 20-12-2 away from Wings Stadium, is currently on a three-game road winning streak.

While the K-Wings have six games remaining in the regular season, the team can already make plans for the postseason. Kalamazoo, who has already clinched home ice advantage in the opening round of the Colonial Cup playoffs, will begin their postseason run Wednesday, April 11th with a 7 p.m. face-off at Wings Stadium.
