Two of the top teams in the United Hockey League will face-off, when the Kalamazoo Wings host the Danbury Trashers. Tonight's game will be the fifth and final encounter between the teams this season. The K-Wings lead the season series with a record of 3-1-0.
Kalamazoo enters the contest looking to extend their six-game unbeaten streak. The K-Wings, who are 5-0-1 in their last six games, are also on a three-game winning streak. Kalamazoo comes into the game just one point behind the Muskegon Fury for first place in the Central Division.
With a record of 35-13-10, the Danbury Trashers are the beast of the east, as Danbury comes into the game with a 10 point lead over the Adirondack Frostbite for first place in the Eastern Division. The Trashers enter Wings Stadium on a four-game winning streak, the longest current streak in the UHL.

Not a Bad First Year
Forward Jason Deitsch, who is playing in his first full season of professional hockey, comes into tonight's game on a 15-game point streak and six-game goal streak; both streaks are season high for the K-Wings. Deitsch was honored by the UHL yesterday, as their Sher-Wood Player of the Month and Easton Rookie of the Month for February.

The K-Wings come into this game on a six-game unbeaten streak. In their past six-game unbeaten streak. Kalamazoo has a record of 5-0-1 in their six games and 8-1-1 in the last 10 contests.
Shutting the Door
By holding Port Huron scoreless on Wednesday, goaltender Joel Martin has recorded seven shutouts this season. The seven shutouts places Martin within one shutout of the UHL single season record of eight held by former K-Wing Chad Alban and current Fort Wayne Komets netminder Kevin St. Pierre, who established the recorded during the 2003-04 season.
A Potent Offense
The K-Wings rank first in every offensive category in the league. Kalamazoo, who averages 2.30 goals a game, leads the UHL in goals scored (241) and points (654); the K-Wings are tied for the league lead with Muskegon for assists with (413).
