Cougars to play Turlock Express of PASL

Stockton, CA - Oct. 12, 2007 - The California Cougars, of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), announce a pre-season exhibition match against the Turlock Express of the Premiere Arena Soccer League at Turlock Indoor Soccer on Saturday, October 12, 2007. The friendly marks the first official match between a MISL team and a PASL team since the two leagues began their affiliation agreement together.

The Cougars play the Express beginning at 5:00PM, tickets are $5.00 for Adults, $3.00 for fans with a T.I.S. player pass and kids are free to attend.

The game will feature live music from a local disc jockey. A post-game party with the Cougars and participating Express players will take place following the event at a location to be determined.

The PASL was named the officially minor league development league of the MISL on Thursday, October 11, 2007. The MISL will utilize the PASL as its affiliate for developing MISL players, developing on-field game officials and referees, and serving as a competitive platform to evaluate potential rules and equipment changes.

The Cougars open their season on October 27, 2007 in Chicago against the Storm. Their home opener is November 10, 2007 against La Raza de Monterrey at 7:00PM.
