Cougars on the prowl for basketball players

Cuyahoga Falls, OH - The Cuyahoga Falls Cougars, a new professional men's minor league basketball team in the International Basketball League (IBL), will hold tryouts on Sunday, November 13th at the Brooklyn YMCA, 3881 Pearl Road, Cleveland, Ohio.

Sign-ins for those who have pre-registered, as well as walk-ups begin at 2:30 p.m., with tryouts following from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. The cost of the tryout will be $75 per player for those who pre-register on or before Saturday, November 12th and $100 per player for those who register at the door. Either will be payable by cash or money order the day of the tryout. Players who make the team will receive a refund for the cost of the tryout.

General IBL player eligibility includes:

▪ Players age 19 and younger are ineligible to play for the IBL.

▪ Potential players age 20-23 that have college eligibility but choose not to exercise their eligibility are eligible to play for the IBL.

▪ Non-United States citizens who are at least 18 years old who do not have plans to use their remaining college eligibility in the United States are eligible to play in the IBL.
