Prince George Cougars News Release
PRINCE GEORGE, BC - Prince George Cougars General Manager & Head Coach Mark Lamb has announced today that the team has acquired 2004-born forward Oren Shtrom, a second-round pick in the 2024 WHL Prospect's Draft, and a fifth-round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospect's Draft in exchange for 2005-born forward Caden Brown.
Shtrom, from Gilbert, AZ, spent the 2022-23 season with both the Silvertips and the Medicine Hat Tigers. Shtrom compiled 11 points (2G-9A) in 24 games combined with both clubs. Throughout his WHL career, Shtrom has suited up in 106 WHL games and has collected 44 points in that span.
Shtrom was the 3rd round selection, 57th overall, of the Medicine Hat Tigers in the 2019 WHL Prospect's Draft. With the Cougars, Shtrom will be reunited with two former teammates as he, Carlin Dezainde, and Cayden Glover all played together with the Medicine Hat Tigers.
The Cougars would like to thank Caden Brown for his contributions to the organization and to the city of Prince George and wish him nothing but the best in Everett.
