
Cottonmouths' Jesse Cole Named SBK Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 29, 2011) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Jesse Cole of the Columbus Cottonmouths has been named the SBK Player of the Week for March 21-27.
Cole recorded his second hat trick of the season, including the game-winner, and added an assist as the Cottonmouths split a pair of games last weekend.
On Friday, the Stratford, Ontario native recorded an assist as Columbus lost 4-3 to Augusta in overtime. Cole came back on Saturday with a second-period hat trick as the Cottonmouths rebounded to defeat Louisiana 6-3 in their regular season finale.
A 2009-2010 SPHL All-Rookie Team selection, Cole led the Cottonmouths this season in goals (31), points (52), power-play goals (11) and game-winning goals (8). Cole scored two goals, including the game-winner, in the 2009 NCAA Division III Championship game, leading Neumann University to a 4-1 win over Gustavus Adolphus.
