
Copa Latina Opening Ceremonies

Miami, Florida (March 3,2010) El Nuevo Herald Copa Latina 2010 will kick off its Olympic style opening ceremonies on Saturday, March 6th , 2010 at 7 p.m. at Ted Hendricks Stadium (Milander Park). The ceremony will feature fireworks display and a Parade of Nations featuring nearly 20 different nationalities from South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
The evening festivities will culminate in the tournament's opening game between the defending Copa Latina Champion Honduras 5 Star versus Mexico Starlight. The first round continues Sunday March 7th and every weekend through April 11th. (The Grand Final).
"We are very excited about our eighteenth anniversary," said Tom Mulroy, president of Se Habla Futbol, the organization that runs the tournament. "The Copa Latina is the Olympics and World Cup all done right here Miami style. Copa Latina has been bringing South Florida some great soccer for the past eighteen years, and this year will not disappoint the fans. "
