Cooper Steel Introduces GOAL Program to Benefit Vanderbilt Children's Hospital

NASHVILLE - Nashville SC's recent run of success is not only vaulting the team up the USL standings, but it's helping kids at the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Because of the GOAL program, corporate partner Cooper Steel is donating $100 for every Nashville SC goal scored in USL play to the Children's Hospital.

"The motto 'Our Town, Our Club' is something that we aspire to daily," said Nashville SC CEO Court Jeske. "When we can bring two partners together- Cooper Steel and Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt- big things can happen. This is greater than soccer and we are all excited by the new GOAL program."

While the GOAL program is about Nashville SC putting the ball into the net, the meaning behind the program extends far beyond the field of play. The program aims to inspire people to give back to the Nashville community. So far, the GOAL program has earned $1,400, money that will go directly to helping the kids at hospital.

"My son Jordan, who is now the Chief Administrative Officer of Cooper Steel, was born in 1990 with a lung deficiency. He spent the first seven days of his life in the NICU at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. The care he received and the compassion shown to us as parents during that time far exceeded our expectations. Cooper Steel is all about family, so it only made sense that we would seize an opportunity to give back to the people who have been there for us and so many other families in such a big way. The Monroe Carrel Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt has touched so many lives in our community and we are thankful to be in a position to give in return," said Cooper Steel CEO Gary Cooper. "We are honored to be given the opportunity to participate in the GOAL program with our partners at the Nashville Soccer Club."
