
Cooper Named NIFL Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week

Today, the National Indoor Football League named FireAnts Wide Receiver Kevin Cooper the Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts on the turf last weekend versus the Tennessee ThunderCats.
Cooper returned four kicks for 76 yards averaging 19 yards/carry in last Saturday's loss versus the T-Cats. During the game, he also gained 73 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
A native of Batesville, Mississippi, Cooper is in his second season with the FireAnts. After playing at the collegiate level with Mississippi State University, he has also had stops with the Minnesota Vikings (NFL), Memphis Maniax (XFL), and Rhein Fire (NFL-Europe).
The FireAnts take on the Louisiana Rangers this Saturday in Alexandria starting at 7:05pm. This is a must win game for the 'Ants, as they attempt to keep their playoff hopes alive.
