Conquest Set Final Roster

ALBANY, NY -- The Albany Conquest, of the arenafootball2 league, made final roster cuts today reducing their active roster to 21 players and played one player on team suspension. Earlier last week the Conquest placed two players on the injured reserves.

Among those who failed to make the final active roster are local products WR/LB Tyrone Seabrooks (CBA/New Haven), OL/DL Will Fields (UAlbany) and DS Chris Swartz (RPI). Also placed on re-assignment were DS Leon Clarke and OL/DL Shawki Perry. OL/DL Jon Murphy was placed on team suspension for undisclosed reasons.

Per af2 requirements, the Conquest are allowed to dress 19 players for each game and must carry a two-man taxi squad. The Conquest are also allowed to have three players on the injured reserve list. A player on the injured reserves must sit out a minimum of two-games.

The Conquest's inaugural game is this Friday, April 5th against the Mohegan Wolves at Mohegan Sun Casino. The home opener is April 20th when they host their division rival the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Pioneers at Pepsi Arena. Albany Conquest season tickets and flex packages are still available.
