
Conquest gears up for 2005 season with new front office personnel

Albany, N.Y., August 26, 2004 â The Albany Conquest of arenafootball2 have begun to prepare for the 2005 season, which kicks-off next April, by adding three new members to their front office staff. Victoria Suitto has been hired as the team's Business Manager, Beth Whitehouse as Team Merchandise Coordinator, and TJ Ramey is interning in the team's Community Relations Department. The Conquest has also announced that Susan Blazejewski, who joined the team last February as Director of Event Management/Game Operations, has been promoted to Assistant General Manager/Team Operations.
"These individuals will have an immediate impact on the success of the Albany Conquest organization as we move forward toward the 2005 season," said Albany Conquest General Manager Robert Zeig. "These individuals will make a great addition to the staff already in place which include Brad Wilson, Director of Media Relations/Football Operations, Rocco Ricchiuti, Assistant GM/Sales and Marketing, and Randye Ringler."
Suitto, a resident of Schenectady, N.Y., will manage business functions within the team, including finances. She brings to the Conquest nearly ten years of professional office experience with notable companies, which include Clough, Harbour & Associates, Key Services, Norrell Health Care, and legal firm, Carter, Conboy, Case, Blackmore. She received her Bachelors of Business Administration from Trinity University. Suitto replaces Cheryl Balm, who accepted a position with the AHL's Houston Aeros earlier this month.
Whitehouse joined the Conquest earlier this year as a part-time staff member assisting in various functions that included team promotions and day of game duties and will now coordinate the team's merchandise sales. She has considerable experience in sports merchandising having been employed for two years by Eagle Sports Promotions in Tarrytown, N.Y., where she planned charitable events, coordinated sports auctions and sold sports memorabilia. Whitehouse is also a USA Gymnastics certified coach.
Ramey, of Malta, N.Y., has joined the Conquest on a part-time internship basis to assist with the team's community relations' functions. Ramey will assist Blazejewski, who in addition to her role as Assistant General Manager/Operations directs the Community Relations Department for the Conquest. A senior psychology major at Union College, Ramey is Captain of the men's basketball team and Rush Chair for Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Blazejewski, of Amsterdam, N.Y., who was a member of the U.S. National Women 's Bobsled Team from 1996 to 1998, joined the Conquest following being Tour Manager and Promotions Specialist for National Tour Inc., where she managed all aspects of on-site brand promotion, including retail, cable affiliate, local media, NFL and ESPN produced events, in national location tour stop markets. As Assistant General Manager/Operations, Blazejewski will continue to handle event management and game operations for the Conquest in 2005 as well as fulfillment of sponsor requirements.
The Albany Conquest will play 16 arenafootball2 games, including eight regular season home games at the Pepsi Arena from April through July 2005. Season tickets to all eight 2005 regular season home games and a 2005 first home playoff game are on sale now by calling the Albany Conquest offices at (518) 487-2222 ext. 1.
