Compuware Arena Prepares For Summer Season

PLYMOUTH, MI - Although the ice has been taken out of the National Hockey League side of the Compuware Arena in Plymouth Township, that doesn't mean the arena is gearing down for the summer. In fact, the staff of Compuware Arena is preparing for a busy summer season.

Here is a list of upcoming events at Compuware Arena:

GINOPOLIS ON THE ICE HOSTS NETWORKING BREAKFAST.

The Plymouth Chamber of Commerce will be hosting "Good Morning, Plymouth Community," on Wednesday, June 4 from 7:30-9:00 a.m. at Ginopolis on the Ice. The event will provide an opportunity for members to network in the morning and enjoy breakfast for an hour, followed by a presentation from our guest speaker. This event is designed to give members an opportunity to gain valuable business contacts by networking prior to the start of the business day and enlighten members on important local topics with interesting speakers.

Speaker: Dr. Conway Jeffers, President Schoolcraft College. Dr. Jeffers will be highlighting the business development activity Schoolcraft College provides, from small business development consulting to market development and government contracting assistance.

COMPUWARE ARENA HOSTS COMMENCEMENTS.

The following high schools will be holding commencement exercises at Compuware Arena.

Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m. - Livonia Stevenson.

Saturday, June 7 at 1 p.m. - Livonia Churchill.

Saturday, June 7 at 6 p.m. - Livonia Franklin.

Sunday, June 8 at 11 a.m. - Farmington.

Sunday, June 8 at 2 p.m. - Farmington Hills Harrison.

Sunday, June 8 at 5 p.m. - North Farmington.

Sunday, June 15 at 1 p.m. - Hartland.

COMPUWARE ARENA HOSTS DRIVE-IN THEATRES.

The Compuware Arena Drive-In Theatres start running seven days a week, beginning Friday, June 13 through Saturday, September 7. The Drive-In is located in the arena parking lot and features three screens, with two movies playing back-to-back on each screen.

Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the movies begin at dusk (around 9 p.m.). Adults are admitted for $9, children 4-12 are admitted for $7 and children under 3 are free. The movies change weekly.
