
Commandos Sign D1 as Official Workout Facility

CINCINNATI, OH- The Cincinnati Commandos professional indoor football team has announced a deal with D1 Sports and Training facility to be the official training facility of the Commandos.
"D1 Sports Training is the #1 choice for professional athletes in all of the United States," said head coach Billy Back. "Being able to offer our players FREE full use of D1 Training and all the facility offers is huge."
The 9,000 square foot facility has an indoor turf field, fully-furnished weight room and access to Beacon's world-renowned sports medicine and therapy. Co-owned by Women's World Cup star, Heather Mitts and former MLB great, Paul O'Neill, D1 offers custom training programs, expert coaching and the latest in sports therapy, all in an intense, high-energy environment.
"At this level getting good film and having a place to get better at your craft (D1) is the most important thing and we're excited to give our players an opportunity like this that no other arena/indoor team in the country can offer," Back said. "Our #1 goal is to get serious players in and moved up to the next level and having D1 and its staff on board helps us in so many ways, we're excited to be teamed up with such a big time facility."
The Commandos are coming off back-to-back titles, going 23-1 in that span. The 2012 season brings a new challenge as they will move to the Ultimate Indoor Football League.
Playing their home games in the historic Cincinnati Gardens, the Cincinnati Commandos are the longest-tenured indoor football team ever for the city of Cincinnati. Season tickets are currently on-sale through the Gardens box office at 513-631-7793.
