
Comets Waive Moody and Smith

HOUSTON - The Houston Comets announced today that the team has waived G/F Megan Moody and G Charlene Smith.
Moody (6-2, Tulsa '06) tallied two rebounds and one assist in the Comets preseason opener on May 3 vs. the Charlotte Sting. She finished her collegiate career with averages of 9.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists at Tulsa (120 games, 86 starts).
Smith (5-8, DePaul '05) grabbed one rebound in ten minutes of action vs. Charlotte. She finished her collegiate career with averages of 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists at both UW-Milwaukee (26 games) and DePaul (68 games, 41 starts).
This season will mark the 10th Anniversary for the Comets and the WNBA, making it the longest-running professional women's league in history. The 2006 season will tip off at Toyota Center on May 21 when the Comets host the San Antonio Silver Stars.
