WHO: Comets Head Coach & General Manager Van Chancellor
WHAT: As host of the festivities, Coach Chancellor will assist a group in serving a special holiday lunch and delivering gifts to the Open Door Mission.
History: Open Door Mission is an inner-city emergency relief and rehabilitation shelter serving the homeless, addicted and destitute in Houston. The Mission provides "clients" with shelter, clothing, meals and spiritual encouragement. The goal of the Mission is to empower men with opportunities for education and recovery from addictions as well as promoting uplifting contacts with volunteers who join with the Mission to reach out to the homeless and addicted.
