Utica Comets News Release
The Utica Comets are proud to announce that Tuesday's game against the Grand Rapids Griffins has SOLD OUT. It is Game 6 of the Comets-Griffins best-of-seven Western Conference Finals match-up. The Comets can win the series, and advance to the Calder Cup Finals, with a victory.
All fans attending Game 6 are encouraged to wear WHITE, just like the players will be on the ice, to rally behind the team. All fans that enter the building dressed in WHITE will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win an authentic, game-worn WHITE Comets inaugural season jersey. Winners of the WHITE game-worn jerseys will be announced throughout the game. There will be multiple jerseys given away each game.
In the previous 26 sold out games at The AUD this season, the Comets have compiled a 17-7-2-0 record and 36 points. Through the 38 game regular season schedule at The Utica Memorial Auditorium, The AUD saw 141,350 fans walk through the door to attend a Comets game. Comets home games average 3,720 fans per game, which is 97.5% capacity. Utica posted a record of 25-10-3-0 at home this season, the best points-percentage (0.697) in the Western Conference.
Last year The AUD saw 130,518 fans and an average of 3,435 fans, which was 90% of The AUD's capacity, during Comets games. Attendance at those games in 2014-15 increased by 10,832 fans from the inaugural season.
