St Louis opened up the second half with their second three-goal streak of the night. The last two coming on power plays after Gibson got called for a controversial kicking penalty and Gui Gomes was caught with a boarding penalty.

Lucas Rodriguez was able to kick start the Comets offense in the final three minutes of the third quarter. Working the restart to perfection, John Sosa passed to Leo Gibson on the left side, who tapped the ball right to where a streaking Rodriguez was able to bury it home.
