Comets Activate Tina Thompson; Gordana Grubin Placed on Injured List

HOUSTON â The Houston Comets today activated forward Tina Thompson and placed guard Gordana Grubin on the injured list with a strained right IT Band (right leg).
Thompson, who was placed on the injured list on June 18, suffered a severe left calf strain at the end of the second half of Houston's 69-66 overtime win at San Antonio on June 12. Without Thompson in the lineup, the Comets have averaged 59.9 points per game and have gone 2-6.
The Comets will host the Los Angeles Sparks at Toyota Center tomorrow, July 10 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available at Toyota Center Box Office or at most area Randalls locations.
