NORWICH-Former professional wrestler and movie star George "The Animal" Steele will be appearing at Dodd Stadium on Thursday, August 19 when the Tigers take on the Tri-City ValleyCats at 7:05 p.m. Steele will be on hand to sign autographs and meet fans before and during the game.
With a pro wresting career of over 20 years that mirrored the rise of the Stamford-based World Wresting Entertainment, George "the Animal" Steele quickly because a household name in the 1970's and 1980's. Steele also appeared alongside Hollywood legends in film projects over the last 20 years.
