Comcast SportsNet to air eight Rush games

Comcast SportsNet Chicago will air eight Chicago Rush games this season, including Friday night's home opener against the San Jose SaberCats, the Rush and Comcast SportsNet announced today.

Combined with the five Rush games which are part of the league's new national package with ESPN, the Comcast SportsNet games brings the total number of 2007 Rush telecasts to 13.

As part of Comcast SportsNet's "Sports Nite" telecast on Friday, the network also will televise the Chicago's ceremony to unveil its 2006 ArenaBowl championship banner at approximately 6:55 p.m.

"Comcast SportsNet is where Chicago fans turn to watch their home teams," said Rush president/general manager Mike Polisky. "We are excited to know that our fans will be able to follow the team on Comcast SportsNet again this year."

"Coming off an ArenaBowl title, the Rush is definitely the team to beat in the AFL once again this year," said James J. Corno, senior vice president/general manager for Comcast SportsNet Chicago. "We're looking forward to providing our viewers great coverage of the Rush this season."

The Rush kicks off the home portion of its schedule at 7 p.m. this Friday, March 9, against San Jose. Fans wishing to purchase tickets to the San Jose game, or any one of Chicago's eight home games, may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212, or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
