Columbus Recalls Left Wing Alexandre Picard

Syracuse, NY (December 18, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Alexandre Picard.

Picard, 23, has appeared in 16 games for the Crunch this season, notching two goals, five assists and 35 penalty minutes. He has also skated in six games for Columbus this year, tallying 22 penalty minutes.

A native of Les Saules, Quebec, Picard was drafted by Columbus in the first round, eighth overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch's next game is Friday, December 18 as they travel to Binghamton to take on the Senators at 7:05 p.m. The Crunch return home on Saturday, December 20 for a 7:30 p.m. contest against the Lake Erie Monsters.
