
Columbus acquires Sedric Webber

GREENVILLE, S.C., February 19 â The Columbus Riverdragons have acquired Sedric Webber and waived Tai Crutchfield, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Columbus coach Jeff Malone.
Webber, 6-5, 215, small forward, is an NBDL veteran who helped lead the Charleston Lowgators to the NBDL Playoffs the last two seasons. His most recent playing experience was in the Philippines.
A two-time All-NBDL Second Team selection, Webber played in 105 games (89 starts) over the last two years with Charleston. He averaged 28.5 minutes, 14.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He completed last season as the NBDL all-time leader in minutes played (2,991) and free throws attempted (440) and was second all-time in points scored (1,519), field goals made (551), field goals attempted (1,250), free throws made (339).
Crutchfield played in 18 games (12 starts) for Columbus, averaging 23.7 minutes, 9.7 points and 2.7 rebounds.
Webber is expected to be in uniform when Columbus visits Charleston Friday at the North Charleston Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
