GREENVILLE, S.C., November 27 – Two National Basketball Development League teams made player personnel moves today, according to an announcement by NBDL Director of Basketball Operations Chris Alpert. The Columbus Riverdragons claimed forward Lonnie Harrell and the Asheville Altitude reclaimed guard Lavoris Jerry from the available player pool.

Harrell, the NBDL career record holder for games played (106) and games started (99), was released by the Huntsville Flight on Nov. 21. A second round (10th overall) selection in the 2001 NBDL Draft by the Flight, the former Northeastern product has scored 1,318 points over the last two seasons in the NBDL, good enough for fifth all-time and making him the leading active scorer in the league.

At 6-7, 200 pounds, Harrell is also second in NBDL career minutes played (2,981), fifth in field goals made (468), third in field goals attempted (1,207), second in three-point field goals made (145) and second in three-point field goals attempted (415). His NBDL career scoring and rebounding averages are 12.4 and 3.7, respectively.

To make room for Harrell, the Riverdragons released forward Tai Crutchfield, a 10th round selection (56th overall) in this year's draft.

A 6-4, 195-pound shooting guard from Eastern Kentucky, Jerry was Asheville's fifth selection in the 2003 NBDL Draft (27th overall) before being released by the Altitude Nov. 21. Jerry replaces forward David Evans, who underwent knee surgery this week.

Both Harrell and Jerry are expected to be in uniform Friday when Columbus (0-1) is host to Asheville (0-0) at the Columbus Civic Center. Tipoff is 7 p.m. ET. Harrell will wear jersey #21 for the Riverdragons and Jerry #24 for the Altitude.
