Colorado Eagles Sign Draft Pick Plus Two

Windsor, CO – The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League (CHL) signed draft pick, center Josh Tymchak (TIM-chuck), along with defenseman Kevin Chabbert (shuh-BERT), and rookie forward Joey Bouvier (BOO-vee-ay), the team's front office announced today.

Tymchak was the Colorado Eagles third pick in the CHL expansion draft held this past June. In his last three years of play the 6' 1", 190-pound Manitoba, Canada native has racked up 590 penalty minutes. Tymchak began playing in 1998 for the British Columbia Icemen of the United Hockey League (UHL).

"Tymchak will provide a physical presence at every game and relentless puck pursuit," stated Colorado Eagles Head Coach Chris Stewart.

Chabbert, a 210-pound Ontario, Canada native, adds definite size on defense to the Colorado Eagles. In the past two seasons Chabbert has played a total of 120 games with the Missouri River Otters of the UHL.

"Chabbert will bring speed and skill to the ice," stated Coach Stewart. "At 6' 6" he will also add some more physical play to our team".

Bouvier comes to the Eagles after seven seasons and 333 games in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and four years at the University of New Brunswick. The Alberta, Canada native is known for his speed on the ice.

"Bouvier has a fierce competitive nature," stated Coach Stewart. "His work ethic will give him a good chance to make our hockey team."
