Colorado Eagles News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced Tuesday that they have re-signed Ft. Collins native A.J. Hau for the 2013-14 season. The 6-foot, 190-pound forward made his professional debut with the Eagles in 2010 and helped the team capture a CHL conference championship.
Hau played his first full season in the ECHL in 2012-13, posting 7 points in 27 games with Colorado. In total, Hau has accumulated 16 points and 70 penalty minutes in 67 games with the Eagles.
"A.J. has always been a player who truly gives you 100% every time he is on the ice," said Eagles president and general manager Chris Stewart. "He provides instant energy and he has the grittiness to compliment that tenacious style of play."
Prior to his professional career, Hau was a member of the Northern Colorado Youth Hockey program and went on to captain the Colorado State University hockey team. In addition to his two seasons in Colorado, Hau also racked up 28 points, including 12 goals during the 2011-12 season with the former Laredo Bucks of the CHL.
"Individually, I have a lot to prove this year. I think the same goes for us as a team, I think we feel that we have something to prove to the rest of the league this season," said Hau. "I'm excited for it, there's nothing like a good challenge."
Individual tickets for all Eagles home games will go on sale in September.
