DENVER - The Colorado Crush Girls will hold auditions for the dance squad on Sunday, October 17 at the Pepsi Center, with registration to begin at 9 a.m. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age by November 1, 2004, and must bring a headshot and résumé. There is no charge to audition.
The audition is closed to observers, but will be open to members of the media. Additional details and requirements follow on the second page.

COLORADO CRUSH GIRLS AUDITION INFORMATION: Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by November 1st, 2004. There is no age limit other than this. You must have a head shot. This does not have to be a professional picture; however it should be a clear photograph of you and only you. You must have a dance résumé. This should simply list any performance experience you may have, along with anything else you would like the judges to know. Please note: the auditions are closed to observers, so please leave your family and friends at home.
Audition Attire: The audition attire is a sports bra of some sort and shorts. No pants will be allowed-shorts only. Please note: only non-marking soles will be permitted on the dance floor. Your hair and make up should be done as if you were in a performance. If you require help with your hair and make-up, please call the official salon of the Crush Girls; "A Little Bit of Eden" at (303) 480-0100.
Audition format: The audition will begin with a short routine. Do not be concerned if you have minimal dance training as many times judges are looking for potential. After this, the remaining applicants will have a one on one interview with the judges. It is best to not make any other plans for that day as there is no exact time for the audition to end. All members of the current team are required to re-audition every year.
Time Commitment: The time commitment during the season is between five and 10 hours per week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Rehearsals are currently held on a weekday evening for 3 hours. Games are played on weekend afternoons and evenings. On game days, the Dancers are required to arrive at the arena by 4:40 p.m. or roughly three hours prior to kickoff. The position is not full time. Most of the Dancers are either full-time students, or have full-time jobs. The position is paid on a per game basis and there are other forms of compensation as well.
The Colorado Crush kick off their third season in January and deposits for season tickets are currently being accepted. The Crush sales staff is available for renewals and new ticket deposits from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday at (303)-352-1000.
